We managed to win another award last night at the rather glamourous Constructing Excellence Awards at the Royal Armouries.
Congratulations to Dale for an excellent design for the Shipley Health and Wellbeing Centre.
Working with RBS Architects and Whitaker and Leach Contractors, it won the Delivering Best Value Category.
The Architects firm Rance Booth Smith Architects Ltd noted on their LinkedIn post about the award: ‘For both our client and the government-funded Shipley Towns Fund, “value” meant more than just budgets. It meant delivering a vibrant, non-clinical, community-led space designed to improve local lives through integrated mental health and support services. This retrofit transformed an former school building on Farfield Road in Shipley, West Yorkshire into an accessible campus that provides the following: Community connection promoted via a welcoming new entrance atrium and communal hubs. Sustainable Retrofitting through the integration of solar panels, an air-source heat pump, and EV charging points. Outdoor space created with Wheelchair-friendly, landscaped well-being gardens designed for nature-based connection. Huge congratulations to the entire team who helped bring this project to life: The Cellar Trust Whitaker and Leach Ltd Michael Eyres Partnership LLP Furness Partnership Thornley & Lumb Partnership Ltd Groundwork Yorkshire‘
